Beauty Product Review

Hey beauties the other day I went to Target and spent more money then I expected to. My first plan was to get a new foundation and left with two. My second plan was to buy stocking stuffers for my mom which I accomplished, I probably got more stocking stuffers then I should've gotten. THEN, of course the plan doesn't stop there, I am visiting my grandparents in Missouri and we all know I'm a southern girl and an thing below 60 degrees is cold! So I had to buy a scarf and gloves but I only got a scarf. So I got everything I needed to get and a more.

If there is anything I must have is BIG LASHES. So I'm always trying new mascara espically if it's on sale and this L'Oreal Voluminous mascara was on sale and being I have brown eyes I got carbon black to bring my eyes and make them seem a little lighter. I would not recommend this masacara to anyone I will stick to my L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes.

PROS:
  • It did bring my eyes out they were light and beautiful well they are always beautiful
  • My eye lashes were big and bold for only 5 seconds so I wouldn't really say that is good
CONS:
  • It does NOT give a dramatic volume like it says it will
  • My lashes clumped together
  • Hard to take off

The next L'Oreal product I tried was a foundation: True match classic tan. I don't usually try products unless it says hypoallergenic, I also have a hard time trying to find the right foundation for my complexion. I always have to use two different shades and blend and blend and blend. I made the biggest mistake and instead of trying the foundation on I compared it to the foundation I already use (covergirl tawny) I stopped using that because it made me look cakey. So back back to L'Oreal
PROS:
  • I like how the foundation feels when I apply it, it has a smooth feeling to it.
  • My skin doesn't look so oily
  • Without concealer it covered my scars well which surprised me
CONS:
  • It smells bad.
  • I look like a oompa loompa, bad spray tan gone WRONG
  • Makes me look a little cakey

On to Maybelline Fit Me foundation I got the 330 and I have never used a Maybelline foundation before and I am impressed...

PROS:
  • Applies so smoothly
  • Doesn't smell
  • I don't look oily
  • Blends in well with my complexion
  • A matte finish (surprised me)
No Cons for this product I am totally in love with this!

I also picked up a new face cleanser I have tried noxzema, St. Ives apricot scrub, many neutrogena products and etc. etc. I stood in the aisle for five minutes trying to decide on what I wanted to try. I went with clearasil because I always see nice commercials and the price is great! The product is decent I can't really give a full review yet I need a another month to see some results but I will say that my face is looking and feeling softer.  When I first started using this product it was causing irritation underneath my eyes, which I'm no longer experiencing.

I don't really wear nail polish like that because I can't wear it because of work. But I still have to buy them for summer because I always have my feet out so my favorite nail polish is the Sally Hansen red carpet. I love it because it's red one of my favorite colors and all the sparkle in it I love shimmer and glitter, but it chips  so easily, so I think I'm going to try to find a Essie nail polish like this on my next trip to the store. Anyways the thing about any Xtreme wear polish chips so easily but I love the colors they offer but they can be watery. So if you are always in to something I advise you NOT to use this brand on my next post I will have more nail polish in different brands well have a peachy day or night beauties!

My top 10 favorites under $10

Hi beauties! I thought since my blog is about "balling on a budget" I thought I would do a post of 10 of my favorite products under 10 dollars. These are just random products that I love and that are affordable. Prices do vary when you go to certain stores I reccomend that you go to wal mart for majority of these products unless target is having a little sale the products will be a little cheaper, avoid going to the drug stores because they always raise the prices of products.

1. Jergens Skin firming lotion (almost any kind of jergens I love)
It's fall, but in North Carolina it feels like winter! There is saying "light skin people don't need lotion." In fact it doesn't matter what your complexion, race or sex is you need to lotion. Who wants to touch someone with dry skin? I know I don't, so I recommend Jergens if you don't want to pay 10 or more dollars for good lotion like Eucerin. Right now I am trying the Skin firming lotion that I got from Wal Mart for $5! I apply it to my skin after I get out the shower (it's best to use lotion when your skin is damp.) The lotion has a wonderful smell and keeps you feeling smooth and smelling nice.

2. Nourishing coconut milk hibiscus creamy body wash from organix
My mom bought this for me last Christmas it was apart of my natural product hair basket (the best thing you can buy [put to together] someone that's natural) anyways when I first saw that organix had body wash I got sooo excited because this is my favorite hair product brand so I could only imagine if it has saved my dry hair I'm sure it could save my dry skin, which it did. This body wash is definitely nourishing and it smells SOOO good I like to use this if I'm going somewhere because the smell last for a while. Since I started using this body wash my skin has gotten a little softer.

3. Renewing moroccan argan oil intense moisturizing treatment organix
Once again another organix product and my mom bought this as well. I was newly natural last December and my TWA basically my little afro needed everything to help it grow and keep it from getting dry. If you have dry hair I highly RECOMMEND this product because this works MAGIC! I like to cover my hair with this treatment and put my plastic shower cap on my head like instructed and I get in my steaming hot shower for better results. You are suppose to keep it on your hair for 3 to 5 minutes I like to get it on a little longer then I rinse with warm water and it's the most amazing feeling ever.

4. L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes
I am a mascara lover, if there is anything I love about myself it would be my eyelashes. They are so long and thick I just love them so much. I have tried many mascaras and by far this one is my favorite. My eyelashes are so full and long when I use this mascara and it brings out my beautiful brown eyes and my eyes appear to be bigger. and the other best part is I got it on sale!

5. True blue Mini Walnut Shell Smoothing foot scrub from bath and body works
I have had this for a while and it's rare when I use it, but when I do my feet so soft including my hands from using the product, plus it smells amazing. This is my favorite product going into spring, because the harsh winter weather dries out my feet well my skin period I haven't found a body scrub to amount to this foot scrub yet. The best time to get this is after Christmas it's original price is $6 but I am sure I paid less then that.

6. True blue spa shea it isn't so bath and body works
This lotion is from the bath and body works spa line too and this is a must have I am not sure if they sell it still I don't go into bath and body works often I only go after Christmas and I have had this longer then the foot scrub. I sure hope they have it still because paying $6 for something that makes your feet feel as"smooth as a baby's bottom" just blows my mind. This lotion is 8 times better then the jergens so if you already use jergens then you can only imagine how great this product is.

7. Neutrogena Naturals Acne Spot treatment
I am always searching for something for my sensitive skin something that will clear my acne or to get rid of a scar. I had never tried any of the Neutrogena Naturals product but after using this I think I will try more of their products. If you are using the treatment to clear your skin it should clear your scar within three weeks (that's how it works for me)

8. Tea Tree Oil
This oil is good for anything that you can think of; dark skin, your hair and your nails it works for everything! I like to use it on my nails during the spring because during the winter your nails can become brittle because of the cold temperature and tea tree oil will harden and thicken your nails. If you have bad dandruff this a good oil to use on your hair. For some people tea tree oil makes the dandruff  worst  for some it clears it up. You can also use an ample amount for acne, eczema, cuts and burns. If you have a cold you can put a couple of drops in your bath. It's also good for cleaning too! If you mix two tablespoons and two cups of water in a spray bottle you have a all purpose cleaner. It depends where you go to get tea tree oil to find a nice price you can go to a natural home and food market or wal mart.

9. Almay Clear Complexion Concealer
Concealer can be used for many things but I use this to help get rid of my acne and acne scars which it does so well with that If you constantly use it my only problem with it is I have a hard time rubbing it into my skin this is the only concealer I have used so I'm not sure if they are all like that but I love this one just because it's Almay and you know this brand is for people with sensitive skin and the fact that it clears your skin I had to buy it.

10. E.L.F blending eye brush
For this to be a dollar it works magic! I call this brush my eyeshadow fixer, because whenever I mess up or I think I may have used too much color I grab this brush and it does it's job I blend and blend and the problem is fixed. Some people say there brush sheds, this brush doesn't, I guess I got a good one but some of my other elf brushes do shed like my total face brush that's just so fluffy I love it beside the shedding anyways I lost my first blending brush and if I loose something I loose it I won't go and buy the SAME exact thing again but I did because it's just that great. Sometimes cheap is good!

Well beauties that's ten products and I hope that you all will go and buy these products because are they AMMMAZZZINGG! Have a great day :)

Mary Kay Sample Review

When I was on vacation I was shopping at my favorite mall Georgia Perimeter or maybe that's the schools name in the area I don't know, anyways I'm just looking around in love culture for a white dress and this lady was just staring at me and my makeup looked nice that day so I thought that's why she was staring at me. ANYWAYS she was a Mary Kay lady consultant or whatever you want to call them and she tried to get me on her "team". Once I thought about it I live in North Carolina and it would be pointless, PLUS I don't want to work for anyone else working for one person is enough. Anyways she sent some products and I am just now trying them I got them back in September and I tried the timewise microdermabrasion. I am very picky when it comes to trying new products especially if I am using it on my face. I am so use to using neutregno products because that's what finally worked for me after trying countless products like, St. Ives and neuxemo that worked temporary and caused me to breakout eventually. Back to the Mary Kay product.....

There are two steps that come with this.
Step one is 'refine':
  • You must apply it to your wet face ( I washed my face with my neutrgeno facial soap) this is a grainy feeling product it's a little rough against my skin when you are rubbing it on please don't apply pressure it could cause irritation to your skin it all depends on your skin type too.
  • Then rinse throughly with warm water. Before you apply step 2 be sure to rub your face to make sure all of the 'refine' is gone. The second time I used it I didn't rinse throughly.

       Step 2:  Replenish
  • Pat your face dry then apply the replenish. I am assuming this is a moisturizer.

After using this I didn't break out but I did notice something, my skin is so much smoother I haven't used it in a couple of days and I can still feel the difference between how my skin felt before I tried this product. Usually when I take off my makeup I use my makeup wipes and my face is so dried out by it. After using microdermabrasion my face is not dried out after I take off my makeup. If you have sensitive or dry skin I highly suggest that you buy this product and try it out! I am defiently buying this product for myself but I'm still not interested in selling the products I'll just buy them.

2013 Christmas list

Hi beauties! can you believe Christmas is just next month, time is flying so I couldn't wait any longer to do a Christmas wish list. There are so many things that I want but I'm in the middle of trying to remodel my room so with that and buying Christmas gifts for others I can't have my weekly visit to target for makeup or hair products :( Anyways here are a few things  I REALLY want and I just HAVE to have in my life as a fashionista. This post is for relatives that don't know what to buy me or for people in general that don't know what to buy their love one that is addicted to looking good. I hope this post can help many people with their Christmas shopping.
Happy Holidays beauties

Something I really need is a new laptop I have had this one for four years now and it has had some hard falls it recently fell on the bathroom floor in the library so something I want the most is a laptop!

Shoes
size 9.5-10
Lately all I have really been wanting are shoes and surprisingly PANTS! Yes I said pants. I am all about a deal and saving money so besides Aldo being my favorite shoe store I have fell in love with Charlotte Russe because they are ALWAYS having some type of sale and they always have their buy one pair of shoes get one $15 so this year instead of putting shoes on my wish list from Aldo and Shoe Dazzle
I am soooo in love with riding boots and I have been since Kourtney Kardashian stepped out with her Chanel riding boots about two years ago.

Charlotte Russe 42.50
Charlotte Russe 48.50

Bags
I carry my WHOLE life with me so therefore I need a BIG bag to hold all of my belongings and for days when I know I don't have one of my classes I like to use my purse as my book-bag as well and I think it's time for some new purses you can never have enough of those.

Make-up

I've tried the sin primer by Urban Decay and I LOVE it because it shimmers, you can use it as a primer or eyeshadow itself but now I want to try the rest of them (Original, Eden, and greed) which are $20 at Sephora

Another Urban Decay product I have wanted to try is the naked palette 2 and the good thing about urban decay is that shipping is free for orders over $50 because if you're like me you don't want to spend $52 for a few eyeshadows but I just have to see what is so excellence about these urban decay palettes. Stores like UltaSephora, and Macy's also sell Urban Decay products.

MAC 32.50

I typically don't use MAC products on my face I usually stick to lip products being I have really sensitive skin. I have read many different reviews from people with sensitive skin as well, some people said they broke out some didn't so I just mine as well take a chance and try MAC products on my face this coming year, it won't kill me. I chose two skin finishers from the Divine Night Collection they are both $33

Perfectly Poised

Centre of Attention

One brand that I have been wanting to try is Sigma and hopefully after this Christmas I will be seeing what the rave is over this brand.
Dare Eyeshadow Palette Sigma

Hair

Many people know how much I love my hair and how much I love trying new hair products because you can never have enough hair products, especially when you have dry natural hair. My all time favorite is the Argan oil Organix I am willing to try anything from organix but I really want to try ....
Moroccan oil that can be found at Nordstrom it's 108 for the shampoo, conditioner and treatment. It is expensive but it must work magic if it's that pricy.
More natural products I would like to try
Stretch Silkening Creme from Miss. Jessie's it can be purchased online or at my favorite place ever Target from $7 to $38

Or maybe just a gift card you could never go wrong with that!

Windy days

Hey beauties I took these pictures real quick before I went home to get ready for work and being I was short on time I didn't want to find a place that had better lighting. Plus it was windy I hate that part of being downtown. So I just played around on my computer with the editing as I watched my Sunday shows, Revenge and Betrayal. Have a great day beauties!
