Maintaining healthy nails

I'm always trying to grow my nails out and it always FAILS. I've tried the nasty nail polish to keep you from bitting you nails and eventually I stopped bitting them. I started wearing acrylics and my nails were so thin there healthy now but of course one is always breaking. I use Sally Hansen products and they still break I guess my nails just don't want to grow oh well. But I'm going to keep trying because acrylics are just I'm not sure anyways.

You should try to eat foods with a lot of Calcium and Iodine. Plenty of fish, fresh vegetables especially green ones, kiwi. Foods with biotin. Peanut butter, grains and nuts.

Vitamins to try

  • Iodine

  • Vitamin A,B,C,D,E

My new do :)

Many people have asked me how I've done my new "natural look" which is wild but you can tame it however you want I LOVE IT. I'm not completely natural I'm still going through the job of getting rid of my perm

What I used for my short hair if you have long hair just double the amount
1 Teaspoon of Hollywood tea tree oil that has vitamin E which helps your hair grow it's 3.19 at Walgreens
1 Tablespoon Olive oil Hair moisturizer hair lotion
1 Teaspoon whatever olive oil you have at home
Wash and condition hair
DON'T LET YOUR HAIR DRY
apply the mixture on your hair twist in to strand twist when you are you can sit under the dryer if you don't have one that's fine just tie your hair up with your scarf

Your twist should look like this

After winter at home manicure

My mom's friend has a friend that sells Mary Kay and she invited us to her Mary Kay party (this was about 3 years ago) and we tried this product called Satin Hands. It's the best product to use daily to keep your hands smooth especially if you have a boyfriend. No guy wants a girl with crusty hands. It has a GREAT smell to it kind of like a Peach scent. It's kind of pricy if you are on a budget it's $34 but worth it. You will be pleased by it the moment you use step 2.

If you don't have the Satin Hand set you can use this Lemon Sugar hand scrub I saw in a book called Eco Beauty. You will need.....
1. 1/2 cup of sugar
2.1/2 cup of epsom salt
3. 6 drops of lemon essential oil
4. 3 Tablespoons of almond oil
Then you stir the sugar, epsom salt, and oils poor into a conatiner with a tight fitting lid.

HOW TO USE
1.Wash your hands
2.Then you  use a teaspoon or 2 and scrub your hands well and get in between your fingers.
3.Rinse with warm water and pat your hands dry.

After you have treated your nails gather some ....
1. Lotion
2. Olive Oil and a container big enough for your hand or hands to fit in.
3. Cotton socks or Cotton gloves
4. You nail polish base coat and top coat.
1.First you want to soak your hands in warm water with olive oil for at least 5 minutes.  *If your nails are yellow add a teaspoon of lemon juice
2. Pat your hands dry and make sure your nails are oil free
3. Add lotion to your nails rub them in and place cotton socks on your hands for at least 30 minutes.
4. File your nails if you want to.
5. Apply your base coat I recommend a Sally Hansen one, let it dry
5.Apply your nail polish let it dry and if you want a extra shine apply another coat of your base coat and let it dry
6. Apply another coat of your nail polish let it dry
7. Last but not least add your top coat and your done :)

Spring Nude Nail Polish Fixation

This is Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Fast Nail Color, Quick Sand.
PRO'S : It matched my complexion which I love being in AFJROTC we can't wear extreme colors when in uniform so this is a winner in that department and price range too it's only $4!!! at any drug store or Target and Wal Mart
CON'S : It was very runny and looks horrible with one coat so if you're in a rush I advise you to choose another polish I don't remember how long it took to dry but it wasn't so instant.
If you buy it I hope you enjoy it and have a great experience :)

This is O.P.I Mushroom Taupe I saw this on http://e-polishblog.blogspot.com/ and thought wow that's a weird color that I fell in love with until....
PRO'S : It's a smooth and shiny finish and I think it's about $6
CON'S : It looks kind of bad on me

This is O.P.I Tickle Me France this is something I would recommend any and everybody to try
PRO'S : It's kind of like a beige pink type of color which goes great with my complexion. It gives you a classy feeling. After the second coat it has that smooth look that everybody wants on their nails there are no CON'S to this. :)
